The Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) is a statewide non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities and older adults acquire assistive technology so they can lead independent and satisfying lives. Assistive technology (AT) is any object that helps a person with a disability to do the things they want to do, and there is no definitive list of assistive technology. Any object that assists a person with a disability or health condition, to live safely or accomplish something that was impossible or exceptionally difficult, is assistive technology.
PATF connects people with AT funding resources, provides low- and zero-interest loans to purchase AT, and delivers inclusive financial education. PATF serves Pennsylvanians of all ages, all income levels, all disabilities, all health conditions, all communities, and all cultural backgrounds. PATF does not charge fees for any of its services.
