Sandra joined Theraplay in September 2020 with more than thirty years of success in the healthcare industry, including corporate officer roles at a Fortune 1 company. After serving as a nurse practitioner in the Air Force, she joined Walgreens as the Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer and Clinical Advocate. While there, Sandra implemented and oversaw operations of over 400 in-store health clinics in more than 25 states. As Vice President of Health and Wellness at Walmart, she led the development of retail health clinic business and operations. Most recently at Strive Health, Sandra was Chief Kidney Hero Officer, helping to improve the lives of thousands of kidney patients. Sandra has a proven track record in developing business strategy and solutions that meet the changing needs of consumers while growing core and new business. She is skilled in implementing integrated technology, quality assurance programs and evidence-based guidelines to create a consistently positive patient-focused experience.
Sandra earned a B.S.N. from Niagara University and an M.S.N. from Arizona State University. Recognized for her leadership, Sandra is the recipient of the Nancy Sharp Cutting Edge Award by the American College of Nurse Practitioners, was the first nurse practitioner inducted as a Fellow of the Philadelphia College of Physicians, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, a 2011 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow Alumnus and the Convenient Care industry recipient of the Loretta Ford Award.
Rose joined Theraplay in 2019. Prior to that, she spent eight years in the residential security industry where she was a key member of the senior executive team responsible for running the financial operations and reporting activities of a large privately held alarm company. Rose started her career in public accounting and transitioned into healthcare where she spent 10 years in senior leadership roles, specifically in the dialysis industry. Rose is excited to return to healthcare and to be a part of a growing company dedicated to providing quality care to pediatric patients.
Cheryl is a graduate of Gannon University in Erie, PA. She currently leads the clinical services for the Theraplay Family of Companies and serves as Chief Compliance Officer. In 2004, Cheryl founded Positive Steps Therapy which provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services in outpatient, early intervention and school settings. Cheryl also serves as the Director of Pediatric Therapy in the Pediatric Orthopedic Institute of Allegheny Health Network and has been a lecturer at the AHN annual orthopedic conferences. She has served as an adjunct lecturer at both St. Francis and Slippery Rock Universities. Cheryl holds her specialty certification and is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist. Her focus is currently on evidence-based and best practice policy for the Theraplay Family of Companies.
Kelly has over 20 years of experience in human resources and has managed all aspects of HR including strategic planning, compliance, benefits, employee engagement programming, recruitment and retention initiatives, recognition and reward programming, performance management, employee relations, employee communication and payroll. She is adept at aligning HR practices and decisions with the overall business strategy to meet the needs of the business and employees. Kelly began her career at Medical Broadcasting Company, positioned pharmaceutical market research company TargetRx for successful growth and acquisition, and lead the HR function at Tel Hai Retirement Community. Kelly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Journalism and a Masters in Administration with an emphasis in HR Management from West Chester University. She earned a PHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, a SHRM-CP certification from the Society for HR Management, and a SHRM Veterans at Work Certificate. She is an active participant in the Montgomery County Senior HR Leader Roundtable.
Fran has more than twenty years of experience in health information technology and holds undergraduate degrees in Nutrition and Nursing from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics from the University of Maryland. Fran has worked in IT vendor (Siemens, WellDoc), quality (National Quality Forum) and provider (Walgreens, Walmart) settings to create technical solutions which deliver exceptional patient and provider experiences. Her areas of expertise include requirement elicitation and analysis, system analysis and design, domain and logical data modeling, systems integration to support continuity of care via clinical data exchange and optimization of practice management and revenue cycle configuration to maximize reimbursement opportunities.
Fran has taught nursing, health care informatics and telehealth courses as an instructor for Johns Hopkins, Eastern and Immaculata Universities. She speaks both nationally and internationally on healthcare informatics and is a member of HIMSS, ANIA and DVNCN and ANA.
Laurie has a BSBA in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, and has been instrumental in growing the outpatient business from 4 to 32 centers in her career with Theraplay. She developed all processes and programs for the community outreach liaison position and has successfully integrated this role across all businesses. This includes specific focus on center needs to enable each location to achieve evaluation and productivity goals. She has developed significant relationships with strategic medical specialists in the pediatric world. She was responsible for developing the Resident Observation Program at Theraplay, and has created marketing programs targeting community resources surrounding our centers. She oversees all sales and marketing efforts for the Theraplay Family of Companies.
Stephanie joined Theraplay in 2020, managing the Revenue Cycle Team, responsible for revenue capture, billing, collections and reporting. She also oversees the Payer Contracts and Credentialing Team, responsible for contract negotiations, payer analysis and credentialing for therapists and centers. Stephanie has been in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years working in a variety of specialties, including DME, High Tech Respiratory and Dialysis. Prior to joining Theraplay, Stephanie held leadership positions in Revenue Cycle Management for several privately held companies as well as a national public company. She spent several years assisting with various Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives while working at the national company and continues to use that philosophy to approach current day processes. Stephanie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Immaculata University with a dual degree in Organizational Dynamics and Human Resource Management. Stephanie is excited to support the company’s mission and be part of the Theraplay Family of Companies.
Carrie is a speech pathologist with 25 years of pediatric experience who graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master’s of Education, Speech Pathology. She founded Fleming Therapy Services, Inc. in 2004 and grew the company into a multi-discipline clinic with locations across Northern Virginia. Her extended experiences have focused on clinical supervision at the Academia level and newly graduated speech pathologists. She served two terms as the VP of Speech Pathology on the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Pathology (2011-2014) and received her Certificate of Clinical Supervision from APTA (2016) and ASHA (2019). Carrie was awarded the Distinguished Alumni in the Health and Human Services department in 2016 from the University of Toledo.
Lynn graduated from Millersville University with a BS in Education and Elementary Education. She joined Austill’s in 2003 and has held many different roles, including developing a school-based database to integrate student, therapist and financial data into one reporting system. In her current role she is responsible for the growth of educational services that the Theraplay Family of Companies provides throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia. Lynn has also served as the County Program Manager for the Special Olympics Lancaster County and basketball program coordinator for the past 23 years.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Elizabethtown College and has over 35 years of experience as an occupational therapist. She began her career in the mental health field where she eventually served in a management position in a research hospital setting. Since 1990, Lisa has been practicing in a wide variety of pediatric settings including early intervention, school-age services, evaluation teams, grant-funded occupational therapy provision, private sensory integration therapy, and outpatient pediatric settings. In her current role, she oversees the operations, development, and growth of the early intervention and behavior services programs across the Theraplay Family of Companies. Lisa is a member of several professional organizations, including VOTA, NJOTA, DOTA, POTA, AOTA, NBCOT, and EIPA.
