Lisa is the President of Theraplay, and started Theraplay in 1991; she has worked as a pediatric physical therapist since 1988. Lisa believes that children deserve to be treated in child friendly environments, by dedicated and experienced pediatric therapists, and that children and parents should feel comfortable at all times during therapy. Lisa serves as the Pennsylvania State Representative for the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy for the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as the Chair for the Pediatric Special Interest Group for the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. Lisa has been married to her husband Steve since 1989, who works as Chief Operating Officer at Theraplay. They have two children, Brett and Kelcy.

Steve has extensive experience in the rehabilitation industry, beginning as a Certified Athletic Trainer with Pat Croce’s Sports Physical Therapists. He has had progressive responsibilities and senior management experience with both public and private therapy companies. Steve’s experience includes employee training, clinical audits/quality assurance, facility development of over three hundred and fifty clinics, as well as mergers and acquisitions across the country. He has been full time with Theraplay since 2004 as Chief Operating Officer.

Samantha joined Theraplay, Inc. in May 2006 as the Center Manager of our Horsham Center. Prior to joining our team, Sam was a physical therapist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, working with children in inpatient and outpatient settings, including critical care. Sam also completed a Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental (LEND) Fellowship; this is a year of interdisciplinary training, research and community outreach focusing on children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. During the LEND year, Sam completed research on Childhood Obesity and Positioning in the NICU. Sam has been an adjunct faculty member of Arcadia University’s Physical Therapy Program since 2007. In 2009 Sam was awarded 3rd Place in Advance Magazine’s Practitioner of the Year. Sam was promoted in 2012 to Associate Director of Outpatient Services providing supervision to a few of our outpatient centers; and again in 2014 to Senior Director of Outpatient Services overseeing all of Theraplay’s outpatient centers. Sam has been happily married since August of 2006 and enjoys her free time with her children.

Laurie oversees the sales and marketing efforts for Theraplay, Inc. She has an extensive sales background in the technology field and retired from corporate sales as a Northeastern Regional Sales Director to stay home to raise her three children. She was a TSS and substitute teacher in the West Chester Area School District for several years while her children were in elementary and middle school. When she decided to go back to a full time career, she wanted to combine her sales experience with her love for children. Theraplay was the perfect organization for this goal. She continues to witness the benefits of early referrals and intervention for services within Theraplay with the children we treat. She is constantly humbled by the dedication and passion of the entire staff at Theraplay. When she’s not working, she most loves spending time with her three children, extended family and friends.

Lisa has been an occupational therapist since 1985 and has been with Theraplay since 2008. She began her career in the mental health field where she started out as a staff therapist and eventually served in a management position in a research hospital setting. Since 1990, Lisa has been practicing in a wide variety of pediatric settings including early intervention, school age services, evaluation teams, grant funded occupational therapy provision, private sensory integration therapy, and outpatient pediatric settings. Lisa highly values provision of quality therapy services to children and their families. Lisa is married and is the mother of two adult sons and a teenage daughter.

Out of college, Mark worked for a few years in public accounting, but found that he wanted to work in healthcare operations. Upon leaving public accounting, Mark worked for an academic medical center in the finance and managed care departments and represented the hospital and physicians group in partnering with insurance companies for fair and equitable reimbursement contracts. Mark then enhanced his career by holding leadership positions at a national outpatient therapy provider and two national DME suppliers. Joining Theraplay allows Mark to return to the outpatient therapy space and the rewarding opportunity of being part of a team of caring professionals that impacts pediatric patients in a meaningful, life-changing way. During his free time, Mark enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and two daughters and watching Penn State and Philadelphia sports of any kind.

Claudia Bottion

Claudia moved to the United States shortly after her graduation in 1991, and practiced as a pediatric physical therapist in Florida before moving to Pennsylvania in 2014. She has experience working in a variety of pediatric settings including inpatient, outpatient and school systems, as well as in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She became certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) in 1995. While in Florida, Claudia was also a part of the Early Intervention Program as a member of the evaluation team and treatment provider for children in their homes and in outpatient settings. Claudia joined Theraplay in 2015 as a physical therapist working in early intervention and outpatient locations, and was promoted to Director of Clinical Services in 2018.

Katie has been working at Theraplay since June of 2007. She has experience working in inpatient acute care, outpatient orthopedics with experience in manual therapy for the thoracic and lumbar spine and the SI joint. During her time at Theraplay, Katie has had the opportunity to treat children in their homes, schools and in the outpatient office. Katie enjoys working with all types of diagnoses, but has a special interest in working with the medically complex patients and with children with torticollis. Katie has been happily married since 2008 and has three children.

Courtney joined the Theraplay, Inc. team at our Quakertown Center in June 2011, and became Center Manager in October 2013 and Associate Director in October 2017. Courtney has experience working in multiple settings and has completed clinical affiliations at an elementary school in the Lehigh Valley, and the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital. She also has experience working with the Early Intervention population. Courtney loves making a difference in the lives of so many children. She loves working for Theraplay, which allows her to be creative and have fun with the kids! Courtney enjoys bike riding and going for runs in her free time.

Tiffany started her human resources career in the manufacturing industry and then followed that with outpatient physical therapy with PRO Physical Therapy, now ATI Physical Therapy. She then moved on to Physiotherapy Associates; between both companies spending almost eight years in the outpatient therapy industry. She left Physiotherapy and spent time in human resources roles building out the HR departments before returning to the outpatient therapy world by joining Theraplay, Inc. Tiffany enjoys getting to know the company and employees while also improving the Human Resources function to align with the company’s business plan and works in the best interest of the company and employees. When she is not working, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her kids, family and friends.

Amanda started her career with Crozer Hospital’s Department of Child and Family Services, working with children and adolescents who were at risk in the community. She was also a TSS, working with children who were on the autism spectrum. After completing her master’s degree, Amanda became a Recruiter and worked for a physical therapy company and a pharmaceutical company. She was happy to find Theraplay, Inc., where she can work closely with therapists in a child-centered environment. Amanda enjoys connecting with well-qualified clinicians and is passionate about matching them to our individually designed positions. Amanda is from the Chester County area and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, family and friends.
