Irene joined the Theraplay team in August 2009 as a speech therapist in the Horsham office, becoming Center Manager at the Limerick office in March 2014, and moving to East Norriton in January 2017 as Center Manager. Prior to coming to Theraplay, Irene worked as a clinical instructor and adjunct professor in the Speech & Hearing Department at The George Washington University, running the pediatric clinic and supervising across the autism, fluency, and neuro clinics. She developed and taught graduate courses on evidence-based practice, advanced pediatrics, and multicultural considerations. She has worked in the hospital setting, outpatient private practice, and provided home-based pediatric therapy. She loves that her job allows her to play with children and collaborate with a team of professionals and families each day. She enjoys working with all diagnoses but has a special interest in treating feeding disorders and childhood apraxia of speech. She has attended many specialized trainings for feeding, apraxia, autism, and oral motor treatment. Irene resides in Lansdale with her husband Brian and their three children.
